Terms and Conditions

The acceptance of any order and or fitting dates by us (the seller) is subject to the following terms and conditions. Any variation on these terms by you (the buyer) is not accepted unless it is in writing by us. Any catalogue descriptions or illustrations do not form part of this contract.

Surveys

Surveys are conducted in good faith but are not binding. Payments for surveys are refunded on final invoice if applicable once work has been completed.

Prices

Although every effort will be made to maintain prices, all orders are accepted on the understanding that prices may be subject to alteration at short notice for circumstances outside of our control. We will inform you of this if any such situation arises once work has commenced. We will endeavour to inform you of any pending price increases from our suppliers if we are made aware prior to you accepting any quotation from us.

Payment

To accept any offer from us for supply and or fitting of goods, we will require a 20% deposit of the overall invoice as confirmation of your order. (This exlcludes online orders) The balance is due by return on receipts of your final invoice. Business account customers payment terns, once a credit application has been received and approved by us is strictly 30 days from the date of invoice. Failure to comply with this can result in credit terms being withdrawn.

Acceptance of Goods & Delivery

If goods are bought from us on a supply only basis, the buyer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the goods. The buyer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods 24 hours after delivery and will not be entitled to reject the goods after this date. If the goods are returned to us after an attempted delivery we will charge you for the cost of re-delivery.

Ownership of Goods

We remain the owner of the goods until such a time you have paid for them in full, along with any applicable delivery charges, there after the title of goods is transferred to you (the customer).

Risk of Loss or Damage

The risk of loss and damage to the goods passes to you at the time you collect them or they are delivered to you.

Installations

If the goods are to be installed by us in your home or premises, then the installation shall take place in accordance with the quotation we have given you. In installing the goods we will use our best efforts not to damage the property. To help keep risk to a minimum it is a requirement that you ensure:

  • The area where the goods are to be installed is prepared and made free of all obstructions prior to the date of installation
  • Access must be given so we can carry out the installation safely and the way is clear of obstructions or obstacles for taking the goods from the vehicle to the area they are due to be installed.

Conditions and Warranties

We warrant the quality of our workmanship for a perios of 12 months from the date of installation. this is in addition to warranties offered on goods by manufacturer. Our warranty is offered subject to the following limitations:

  • We shall be under no liability to you in respect of any defective workmanshi caused directly or indirectly by your act or omission
  • We shall be under no liability to you if you have not paid fo rthe installation work in full by the due date on the invoice.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by the above limitations.

Natural Stone and Marble

Marble and stone are natural products which may have natural defects and is sold subject to the following conditions. We recommend that all natural materials to be inspected prior to installation.

  • Cramping - lines in the marble caused by pressure during its formation, these sometimes look like cracks but cannote be felt and are not cracks
  • Stopping - marble sometimes contains holes or flaws or vents which are filled with special fillers.
  • Natural Defects - Variations of colour, iffegular markings, oven veins and areas which will not polish to the same shine as the rest of the survace. Natural stone and marble is porous and will stain if liquids are split on it. It is strongly recommended that you take the time to seal your stone and marble products.

No claims or breakages will be agreed unless notified within 24 hours of receipt of goods. Where goods are collected the materials will be deemed to have been checked prior to loading and no complaints will be entertained.

Denby Dale Stoves by Plasterline Ltd may, on occasion, use your details to keep you informed of any special offers or products and services that we feel may be of relevance to you. We may also use your contact details to tailor promotions to your requirements. Unless you have specifically stated that you would prefer not to be contacted on these occations by writing or emailing us at the address on the front of this invoice.
